Cheri has been married to her husband, Randy, for over 23 years and calls Oviedo, Florida home. For the last twenty years she has served as both paid and lay staff in children’s and youth ministry, and is currently serving her church as worship leader for their contemporary service. “I am blessed to have the opportunity to preach a few times a month and to work under the leadership of two wonderful pastors.”

Cheri says of one of her most challenging, yet most spiritually rewarding, “That would have to be the time I served as Director of Operation L.O.V.E. (Linking Our Volunteer Efforts), an ecumenical effort formed to restore and rebuild tornado-damaged homes in Winter Garden in 1998. I saw God do amazing things- both for the people who lost so much, and in me. ”

Through this event Cheri saw in a daily—and sometimes, hourly—way that God meets each person where they are and provides for their deepest desires and needs. “He even cares about carpet,” she exclaims in awe.

Cheri has written numerous magazine articles with such titles as “Amongst The Rubble He Called Me,” “Lace On My Man’s Underwear,” “Don’t Throw in the Trowel: Growing a Healthy Self-Esteem,” “Seven Steps to Determine God-given Opportunities,” “Will the Real Mature Person Please Stand Up,” and “Frozen Water-Melted Hearts." Her stories are included in over ten anthologies including Chicken Soup for the Grandma’s Soul, Personality Plus for Couples, and the Godly Business Woman’s Guide to Cooking and Entertaining.

Currently Cheri is attending Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando Florida, and will soon have a Masters in Theological Studies.
