About Cheri

Cheri speaks and writes from a place of deep faith, a faith that has been buffeted through the storms of life. In her speaking and writing, with vulnerability, she allows others to know they are not alone in asking questions and having doubts. Her much requested Hello God, Is This Really You day seminars and weekend retreats formed the basis for her book Direction: Discernment for the Decisions of Your Life. With Cheri’s new book, Making the Story Real: Speaking Christ into a Changing Culture, Cheri speaks to the desire of many churchgoers who long to reach their children and neighbors with God’s truth. Yet, they wonder, how do we remain faithful to the truth we know while living in a world that no longer believes in absolute truth?

In addition to her books, Cheri’s writing credits include over 200 articles in such magazines at Marriage Partnership, Light & Life, Live, Seek, the Lookout, and CBN.com; her warm and heart-touching stories are in over ten story collection books including Chicken Soup for the Grandma’s Soul and God’s Handprints.

In November 2009, Cheri was chosen as one of six Christian journalists to tour the Holy Land as a guest of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. Check back here for photos (the above photo is of Cheri at En Gedi, Israel) from this incredible journey. “Everyone should plan a trip to this land of our ancestry,” says Cheri as she shares stories along with photos of her pilgrimage. She’d love to share this experience with others, so if you are interested in a “future tour” of the Holy Land, sign up through the e-newsletter link on the Home page of this website.
